Painting on the Banks of the Seine

03 Jul

Living with blank, bare walls can be depressing.  But, it’s hard when you know that you’re going to be somewhere for only a year to go out and buy a bunch of decorations.  So, we’ve been doing a lot on our own (you may have already seen the photo album “Decorating on a Dime”).

We painted some cardboard squares and hung them on the wall, which did well to add some color.  Jess also made a lamp out of an old oatmeal container.  But something else that I enjoyed doing was painting a picture; you can see it above.  Since Jessica is going to be spending a lot of time in the apartment from now on, I wanted to paint a place that we both enjoy: Paris.  While definitely not perfect, I was pleased with the result.  So, just wanted to share it with you!
